Modest BeginningsThe GlassComp concept was actually conceived in reaction to an auto glass program that was introduced several years ago. A group of auto glass vendors came together to develop a course of action to bid for regions of the new auto glass program through GlassComp. After the Auto Glass Program was discontinued, GlassComp continued to flourish by introducing a new concept in EDI service processing at a price that made EDI affordable for even the smallest auto glass retailer. The introduction of the Country Insurance EDI program for auto glass vendors and GlassComp's unique processing skills was a perfect match and GlassComp continued to grow. Lynx Services by PPG was the next major change in the industry and GlassComp's ability to process paper invoices into an electronic transaction at less than half the cost of other services placed GlassComp in the forefront of EDI providers on a national basis.
